Residency Facilities
RAIR has access to over 450 tons of construction demolition waste per day in the yard at Revolution Recovery. A full workshop and private studio spaces are available for the artists in residence. The workshop contains a basic woodworking shop: table saw, band saw, miter saw, sanders, etc.; hand-held power tools: drills, Sawzall, jig saw, circular saw, pneumatic nailers, etc.; some metalworking equipment: small MIG welder, angle grinder, vises, etc. Artists also have access to Revolution Recovery's 3.5-acre site to work in during the recycling center's off-hours. Some residents may be allowed to utilize the recycling center's equipment (excavators, front-end loaders, forklifts, scissor lift, etc.), but only with the guided assistance of the RAIR staff.
