Jaime Alvarez searched the tipping yard for objects signifying both domesticity and masculinity: kitchen utensils, auto parts, radio parts, trophies, toy cars, sports equipment, pots, pans, coolers, and a collectable figurine of John Wayne. Painting each of these items white, Jaime transformed found personal ephemera into archetypal forms and arranged these to be photographed, combining objects to suggest surprising relationships and new mythologies.
