During Gabby Constantine’s time at RAIR, she collected a large amount of abandoned materials from the waste flow and created a bar, which represents the one that her family previously owned in South Philadelphia during her childhood. Her work memorializes and honors lost histories of places like her family’s bar throughout the city of Philadelphia. She had an open house towards the end of her residency displaying her mock bar and grilled up yummy food for visitors.
