Mission:

Sankofa Community farm works to learn, teach, and promote self-reliance using tools of the deep african Diaspora culture of wouthwest philadelphia. Sankofa works on a 2 acre crop of field, an urban orchard, and a 60 bed community garden. Sakofa is committed to the practice of natiral argiculture, ground in spiritual awarness. Sankofa provides space for people to build relationships with food, land, and eachother.

Sankofa Community Farm has been partneing with RAIR’s curlcurlar economy since its inceptions. Throughout the last 2 years, RAIR had been able to distribute several tons (ARJUN WE NEED NUMBERS) of salvaged material to sankofa in efforts to maintain thier gardens and also curb prices of organizations bulding projects.

Objects like dimensional lumber, gardeing tools, tarps, Rubbamid totes, screens, building tools, pallet racking and much more has been diverted from landfill and redistributed to Sankofa as no cost.
